10 things ...

... you should know about me.

  1. My personal philosophy on life: Live. Learn. Love.
  2. I do not subscribe to any religion, though I've studied many. I believe in a higher power and often call him God. I have more faith than most people I know.
  3. I've watched Disney's Robin Hood so many times I can talk and sing along with the movie. I love it. The character from a movie I most relate to also comes from Disney: Mulan. "The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all." -Chinese Proverb
  4. My favorite TV shows are NCIS and Bones. I can watch either, literally, for hours!
  5. I've taken the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator 5 times, and I've gotten the same combination every time: ENTJ. I've seen all 34 of my "Strengths" from Gallup. My top six are Input, Strategic, Learner, Responsibility, Achiever and Command. A "J" with "Command" ... That explains a lot!
  6. I do not camp. Ever.
  7. I've traveled 43 states, 7 other countries on 2 continents. I love Paris. I am at home there. It's the only place I always know where I am. No kidding.
  8. Without art, I don't think I could breathe. My favorite artist is Botticelli. I love to paint and draw with pastels though I don't do either enough anymore.
  9. My favorite songs are Mayonaise, Hysteria and Under Pressure. I loved each totally and completely from the first time I heard it. Each speaks to my soul.
  10. My books are a part of me. They range from children's books to fast-paced action thrillers. I've read all of Shakespeare's comedies and tragedies. My favorite is The Tempest.
  11. Bonus ...
  12. I hate to fly. I don't like horror movies. And I am more afraid of snakes than anything on the planet.

... that just aren't my thing.
  1. I can't carry a tune in a bucket. Seriously. Tone. Deaf.
  2. Driving at night in the rain. Yep, no depth perception.
  3. Watching sad movies. (Or scary ones.) Just tell me who dies already!
  4. Leaving a puzzle alone once I get started. OK, maybe I'm a little obsessive. Please don't bring up the Close Encounters model to my husband.
  5. Dancing. I love it, but I look like a fool. Good thing I don't care what anyone else thinks.
  6. Getting dressed up. I'm awkward and uncomfortable. It's just not me.
  7. Umm, not being me.
  8. Staying quiet when I really have something to say.
  9. Remembering birthdays. (Yes, I am worse than your husband.)
  10. Not being good at something.
